I don’t think it can be compared to the texture of a lip balm or other lip products. The consistency feels like an opulent mix of water, oil and gel and it applies nicely to the lips. Since using the lip oil, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the flakiness of my lips, so I’ll continue using this on its own and with my other must-have Charlotte Tilbury lip products for lasting hydration. The texture is really light and doesn’t feel sticky to wear. It’s really nice on it’s own and will make a great moisturising base or topcoat for lipstick too. Plus, the fact that it isn’t overly glossy means that men could use it as a nice flattering lip conditioner too.

As an overnight lip mask, it works delightfully well. Waking up to hydrated, perfectly conditioned and chap-free lips is bliss! I find that wearing this day and night really helps with the overall appearance of my lips. While I can’t say the oil has given me a lip filler effect, my lips are no longer as rough as before.
It smells gorgeous – I think it’s like a very slight hint of caramel. It’s got a screw cap tube that prevents any spill accidents inside my bag or pocket. It’s a good packaging design for travelling and on the go. However, one of the biggest drawbacks to this lip oil is that there is very little product inside. I would say it’s about half full, which makes me question whether it’s worth the price.
